Diary of a cursed woman!

Hello All, been a while since my last post. My excuse this time is our big move coming up very fast. We are trying to get all boxes moved over to the new house so that come moving day, all people have to do is help with the heavy furniture. Kitchen is all moved over and everything in cupboards which was a big step. Wont have to worry about broken dishes, which is nice! I have been working on the weekends for my Sister Lindsays Mom at the St. Jacobs farmers market, for some extra cash. It has helped us buy our new sectional.! Cant wait until we get it. I am still not back to work yet but I do have a date with the surgeon now. May 24th I find out whether surgery is the answer or not. I needto get back to work to be able to afford all the new things I want for our new place. Like I said hopefully next Christmas I can host the annual get together. Plenty enough room!
Well thats all I know for now! Hope everyone is well..............

Finally I got rid of this damn cold. I woke up last Tuesday with the worst pain in my ear. The pain was excruciating so I went to the Doctors. She couldn't believe how bad of an ear infection I had. She sent me home with a script for Amoxicillin which would take 24 hours to help. That was a terrible 24 hours! Ohh well I am on the mend now. Feeling quite a bit better!

Friday night I took my Sis Linds out for one of her first bar experiences with me. We actually had a blast. We went to the NRG Kingdom in Burlington and danced like crazy. My friend Terry came along because he wants to meet some women. He needs one! Terry and Linds got drunk so I had to drive their talkative, giggly asses home. That was a treat! Weather wasn't real wonderful either.
Saturday we woke up and went to meet Chris at his tattoo appointment where he was getting more of his back finished. I decided to get a nose ring which suits my face shape quite a bit. Pretty painful but worth it in the end!

Sunday was the baby shower for my nephew , Ben! He is the cutest little baby.
Chris and I went out Saturday night to Babies R Us and spent a lot of money on spoiling the little guy. Wow baby stuff isn't cheap! Catherine(sis in law) pretty much received everything she had registered for and more. I hate the games at showers, I just like when the guest of honor opens gifts.

Hopefully next weekend will be less eventful. Didn't hardly have a minute to sit down and relax. I am still off work waiting for my appointment to get booked. Driving my Doc nuts on a regular basis. Very bored just sitting around at home.

Well here is the new addition to the Hibbard family! Meet Benjamin. He was born January, 27/07 at approx.12:30pm. Weighing 5lbs61/2ozs and a month premature. He was definately ready to come into the world with a very short labour for Mommy Catherine. She is doing well and all the family is ecstatic. I actually cried when I first saw him. So delicate and wonderful! Chris and I are still in our glory be an aunt and uncle. Funny how I just blogged the other day saying how excited I was and now he is here. At least for the baby shower I will know the sex. Way easier to buy that way!

Anyways dont have a whole lot to say other than I am feeling like absolute hell with a nasty cold. Didnt get off the couch for the last two days. Ohh well at least I am off so I can get better!

Talk to everyone soon..................

Hello friends! Didn't wait so long in between posts this time. Starting to get excited about becoming an Auntie Melissa at the end of February. Chris' Brother and wife are expecting then. Her shower is coming up and I have so many things I want to buy for them. Babies are so exciting, especially when they are someone elses. That way I can give them back when they need to be changed................just kidding!
Talked to Christy tonight and we set plans for me to visit her in Toronto, Feb,10. Looking forward to doing some cool shopping maybe visiting my Sis Steph while I'm there! Haven't been since last year I think . With all the weddings and shit , it was hard to get away. Gives me something to look forward to being off at the moment!
Still no word on the surgeon appointment. How hard is it to pencil my name in, I don't get it. Ohh well.
Unfortunately I have a cold right now. No idea where I picked this one up.Feeling yucky though! Nice to be at home so I can just sleep it off or sweat it out.
Well hope everyone has a great weekend. We dont have much planned! Might help Chris' brother paint his new house. Will post again soon..........................................Talk to everyone soon!

Okay here I am blogging at 2:02 am on a very early Sunday morning. I wasn't tired tonight so I figured I should catch everyone up on things.
As far as my back goes, I am currently waiting for an appointment with a surgeon. Hopefully I can get in soon and get all this resolved!
Chris starts his new job in Tavistock on Monday. I know he is nervous but I am so happy for him that he was able to overcome his fear of change. Nobody likes it, but sometimes it needs to be done. He is so good at what he does and is the hardest worker I know!
Still planning on moving either March 1st or April 1st, depending on my landlord. After 6 years in this hell hole you think she would give me a break. Oh well "c'est la vie"!
Tonight we met up with Jolene, Andrew, Christy and Pat(Jolenes brother) at Bentleys. I am so glad that I met someone that my friends approve of. I realize everytime I hang out with them, how much I missed them when I was in a past relationship. I found a quote that I really liked so I wanted to share it with everyone............"The greatest gift you can give to someone is your friendship, because you are giving them a portion of your life that you will never get back".
So this is just a little Thank you to that special group of friends that have been there for me through a lot!
Well I think that is pretty much all I have for tonight. Maybe I should try going to bed soon. Talk to everyone soon!

It has been a very long time since I blogged so this one might be a long one. Christmas is now over and done. I am quite glad actually. Can only take so much of the holidays. My New Years resolution was to use the Elliptical trainer that I bought with my Christmas money, as much as possible. So far , so good. I had a CT scan done on my back right after Christmas and just the other day I got the results. Turns out I have a bulged disc and a herniated disc at the same time. Ouch.........................That sucks a lot cause it looks like I may be off work again to recover. My doctor is trying to get me in to a Spine surgeon in London to decide whether or not they are going to operate. Doc doesnt recommend it because it is very complex being so close to the spine. She doesnt think I have any other option at this point though! Physio just isnt helping me.
I think I had a bad start to 2007 after getting hit in the forehead with a champagne cork at about 12:02 New Years Day. another OUCH..........Havent heard any good news yet this year. Ohh well it juist verifies that my blog title is accurate!
Chris and I are moving as of March first most likely. Much bigger place with potential to buy! Old farm house that even has a dumb waiter its so big! I hate moving but excited at this opportunity. I will be able to have everyone over next year for Christmas possibly.

I think that is pretty much all I have to tell everyone right now and "no" I'm not pregnant! lol

Here is the moment you've have all been on the edge of your seats waiting for, I'm sure! This is my Koi fish tattoo after 5 and a half hours under the needle and still one more hour to go. Ohh yeah can you say "ouch"? Okay it was a little painful but well worth it. My artist still has to add some green to the flowers, for leaves and a little more shading. Still healing so it is very scabby and dry. Tell you one thing, it looked wonderful with my bridesmaids dress on Saturday! Had people coming up and taking pictures of it.
So next is the Wedding. Jen and Duane were officially married on Saturday in Tavistock. The weather was terrible but a backup plan was well organized. It was a very busy day for me because at 10am Chris and I picked up our new vehicle that we bought. It's a 2003 Ford Escape 4 by 4..............Love it! So after that exciting event, I prepared for the Wedding. After the beautiful Christian ceremony, the bridal party toured for a little over an hour in the limo where I preceded to drink waaaaaay too much Spamante Bambino! We were all half in the bag during the dinner but sobered up quickly with our full tummies. Next was the speech that I was dreading saying in front of all them people. Believe it or not it was a great speech and humorous too! So after being buzzed, eating and saying the speech I tried to get my drink on, but it didnt happen again the rest of the night. It was still a great Wedding and everyone had soooooooo much fun!
That pretty much concludes my blog for this weekend. It was full of excitement but now I need a week to recuperate. Finally the Weddings are over for the year. Looking forward to just spending the rest of the year, doing whatever I want to do. No agenda to follow!
